About

The Homeland Garden Club was founded in 1926 as a gathering place for gardening enthusiasts across Baltimore and beyond. It is among the earliest women-led garden clubs in America, established within the first generation of clubs following the movement’s 1891 beginnings. Today, the Homeland Garden Club is open to any one who shares a passion for gardening, nature, and community.

Our program year runs from September through May, with monthly meetings held on the second Monday of each month. From native plant advocacy and tree plantings to floral design workshops and seasonal garden tours, we offer a welcoming space to learn, grow, and give back.

We are proud members of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Central Atlantic Region, and the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, District IV. The Homeland Garden Club also partners with the Homeland Association and the Homeland Community Foundation to support neighborhood restoration and community engagement.
